The Athens Review

Athens — The Athens Public Education Foundation is rolling out the red carpet for some of their biggest fans.

APEF is proud to announce their “Fan of the Week” program that officially kicks off this Friday night at the Homecoming football game. Tickets will be on sale for $5 at the both gates. The winning ticket will be drawn just before kickoff.

The winner will choose a guest to accompany them to comfortable recliners for the duration of the game.

During the game the winner and guest will have a hostess to serve complimentary refreshments, courtesy of APEF.

All proceeds from the “Fan of the Week” program fund innovative teaching grants for Athens Independent School District.

To date, APEF has given $48,000 to teachers for projects since 2010. The mission of the Athens Public Education Foundation is to provide opportunities for excellence in education, promote innovation in teaching, and partner with the community to enhance the quality of education for all students.
